Mesa Proving Grounds Team – Our Community Outreach Process
During the summer of 2007, DMB’s Mesa Proving Grounds team embarked on an extensive community outreach program to learn more about what Mesa residents and business leaders wanted for the Williams Gateway area.   We reached out to thousands of Mesa voters, members of the business community, stakeholders and neighbors.  Our goal was to broaden our understanding of the area and its potential by engaging in a large-scale community outreach process to solicit ideas and learn more about the needs of the surrounding community.  Feedback was obtained through surveys, open houses and roundtable discussions.   This community process resulted in hundreds of residents and community leaders coming together to share their aspirations for the Mesa Proving Grounds area.  

The first mailings were sent to approximately 11,000 households in the surrounding area, and as a result, neighbors have been able to share their ideas about the Williams Gateway Area and the future of the Mesa Proving Grounds.  After the first mailing, more than 550 neighbors engaged with us to share their thoughts.
